Winter in Maine is long and cold but the waves are usually going off. Lets face it, putting on your 6mm suit in your car and then changing out of it on the side of the road is NOT FUN. That’s LIFE IN MAINE. Being a surfer here in Maine and braving the elements also makes you appreciate traveling to warmer climates. For a few hundo and a 3hr flight you can really forget about 7mm boots and lobster claw gloves. Here’s some photos from Super star Snapper Nick LaVecchia and LDS first stringer Natty Graham to make you think maybe its time to head to the Tropics. Trust me you will appreciate it…_MG_7999_MG_0634_MG_7964_MG_7662_MG_7997IMG_0437IMG_2438IMG_0576IMG_2928IMG_2196IMG_2561IMG_1907

February 14th

There was some great waves this past Thursday and Friday here in Maine. It was a much needed swell after a mid winter flat spell. I love surfing in the winter with all the boys. Back in the day of old heavy and non flexible wetsuits it used to be a survival game. But now with todays warm and super flexible wetsuits surfers are pushing each other and surfing is at a all time level here in the NorthEast.. Here’s a few Pics from Andrew Frost and Nick LaVecchia, and a GO Pro sess from the other day..Broad ViewDSC_2198Nico 2Mark1CyNico1Rich2_MG_1656_MG_1672_MG_1706
